Our team of the student group Engineers Without Borders – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology e.V. (EWB) was established in April 2011 with the aim of giving children a future. In 2014, our project group already successfully completed the construction of a drinking water system for the MEVA school in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince. As a result, 300 children now have safe access to clean water.
Successful development work is based on long-term loyalty to the country and its people. Therefore, our project group is pleased to have the opportunity to currently carry out our second project in Haiti.
In order to optimise the various skills of our members and to be able to fulfil the diverse tasks of the project, we have formed several competence groups. Our 50 members deal with topics such as water supply, the construction and static of buildings, electrical supply or the acquisition of donations and sponsor funds. We regularly present our progress at the biweekly team meetings.
